Solresor is Sweden’s best tour operator

For the third year running Solresor has been chosen as Sweden’s best tour operator. The Grand Travel Award is arranged by the industry journal Travel News in March each year, and is the most prestigious prize in the Swedish travel and tourism industry. The winners are voted for by approximately 500 travel agents from both private and business travel bureaus.


Solresor received the prize on Monday evening at a gala at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. The entire company is pleased to be taking home the honour of being Sweden’s best tour operator one more time.


”We have had a record year profit-wise at Solresor and thus it feels even more important to have confirmation that we haven’t lost quality. It feels very flattering that travel agents, with their close relationship with customers, have again chosen us as the best tour operator,” says Anders Hagert, MD of Solresor.


During 2007 Solresor launched trips to Kerala in India, Tibet, the USA, Hawaii and Sicily.

In addition the request for niche tours has markedly increased, and Solresor has therefore extended its range.


”During 2007 Solresor’s profits increased by 40 percent and its EBIT by almost 50 percent.


During 2008 the prognosis is that we will pass two billion in turnover. Despite the fact that we are also expecting major growth during 2008, we will never allow quality and competitive prices to be restricted,” says Anders Hagert.
